LEHA is an organisation for LBQ (lesbian, bisexual and queer) women and non-binary people living in the Mount Kenya area.

We exist to promote accessible and inclusive health, advocacy and support services for our community.

COMMUNITY DIALOGUES

Looking For Someone to talk to?

Our conversation spaces offer LBQ women and non-binary people a place to discuss their experiences of violence and discrimination and share strategies for building queer hope and joy in a hostile society.

  • For community members in crisis we provide emergency food and other essentials.
  • Join us in activities such as art therapy, yoga, dance, boxing and football.
LEHA encourages mental and physical wellness by giving community members a space to reflect, heal and build community

Many LBQ women and non-binary people struggle to access appropriate health care. We provide sexual and reproductive health services

Our trained peer educators work with the LBQ community to provide important health information which is relevant to individuals’ lived experiences.

Our trained responders support community members when they have experienced violence, harassment or discrimination.

Our 3 Minutes of Silence programme encourages mental and physical wellness by giving community members a space to reflect and heal

We partner with the National Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission to provide community members with access to legal representation,
